A delegation of McLean County Farm Bureau staff, four local mayors and two township supervisors traveled to Springfield April 26 to testify in opposition at a House Committee hearing on SB 684 – a bill to expand the Bloomington-Normal Airport Authority to include all of rural McLean County. Spring Rural Route Safety Days

Seeing farm equipment up close allowed Ridgeview High School students to gain a better perspective on how to share the road safely at Rural Route Safety Day March 20. McLean County Farm Bureau board member, Reid Thompson, provided a tractor and planter for the event. Mike Dowling also volunteered at the event. Rhoda Travels to DC to Advocate for Ag

Farm Bill discussions served as the primary focus of the recent Illinois Farm Bureau Leaders to Washington trip held March 6-9. Trivia Night Raises Funds for Ag Ed

With a sports themed trivia night testing knowledge of athletics and agriculture, the McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation successfully raised more than $5,500 to support local ag education eﬀorts. Nineteen teams competed for prizes and bragging rights at the annual fundraising event held Feb. 25 at the McLean County fairgrounds.
