McLean County Farm Bureau will host a meeting for landowners regarding a possible geological carbon sequestration project and pipeline Tues., Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m.

The meeting is specifically for landowners who have received solicitations from one or more companies regarding a pipeline or pore space lease.

Speakers will include Illinois Farm Bureau staff members Laura Harmon and Bill Bodine, who will provide and overview of the potential project, lease terms and key items for landowners to consider.

McLean County Farm Bureau strongly advises landowners to consult an attorney with knowledge of these types of leases before signing any contracts.
