MCFB Foundation Scholarship Winners

2024 MCFB Foundation Scholarships

McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation is pleased announce the $17,000 in scholarships will be awarded to 14 students pursuing ag-related careers.

Four students have been selected to receive a $2,000 McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation Agricultural Leadership Scholarship:

  • Logan Demling, McLean, recent graduate of Olympia High School, plans to study Agricultural Engineering at Iowa State University.
  • Kaden Semlow, recent graduate of Cornerstone Christian Academy, will pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Cedarville University.
  • Paige Fitzgerald, Bloomington, will be a Senior at Iowa State University studying
    Agribusiness. Fitzgerald is a graduate of Tri-Valley High School.
  • Chloe Scroggins, Danvers, will be a Senior at Southern Illinois University Carbondale
    completing a degree in Agricultural Systems Technology. Scroggins graduated
    from Olympia High School.

The Ag Leadership Scholarships are selected based on leadership, school/community
involvement and interest in agriculture.

Thanks to support from generous sponsors, McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation
is pleased to award additional scholarships to assist students pursuing agricultural careers.

$1,000 Awards:

  • Next Era Scholarship – John Bierman, McLean, to study Animal Science/Pre-Vet at
    University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
  • Sun Ag Scholarship – Logan Demling, McLean, to study Ag Engineering at Iowa State
    University.

$500 Awards:

  • Agsurance Scholarship – Preston Rhode, Carlock, studying Animal Science at Black Hawk College.
  • Bloomington Meats Scholarship – Paige Fitzgerald, Bloomington, studying
    Agribusiness at Iowa State
    University.
  • COUNTRY Financial Scholarship – Chloe Scroggins, Danvers, studying Agricultural
    Systems Technology at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
  • Earthrise Energy Scholarship Cheyenne Hanlin, McLean, to study Animal Science at Parkland College.
  • Evergreen FS Scholarship – Brian Clapp, LeRoy, studying Agribusiness at Lake Land
    College.

The following students will also receive a $500 McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation
Scholarship:

  • Brian Clapp, LeRoy, studying Agribusiness at Lake Land College.
  • Cheyenne Hanlin, McLean, to study Animal Science at Parkland College.
  • Abigail Hoeft, Bloomington, studying Forest Resources and Management at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
  • Paige Lemenager, Hudson, completing an Agriculture Transfer degree at Lake Land
    College.
  • Peter Metivier, Bloomington, studying Agricultural Economics at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
  • Talia Pierard, Bloomington, to study Equine Science at Black Hawk College.
  • Faith Schwoerer, Bloomington, studying Agriculture Communications & Leadership
    at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
  • Caleb Vogel, Normal, to study Hospitality Management at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
