‘Amazing community effort’ saves swine herd

Stan and Peg Blunier watched part of their Livingston County hog operation go up in smoke last month when a fire tore through one of their hog buildings. But the family is counting their blessings for a number of reasons, including the outpouring of support from the community. FarmWeek’s Daniel Grant talks with the couple about that terrifying day, the fate of their pigs and how the close-knit community banded together in the family’s time of crisis.
