McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation is pleased to announce the 2023-24 Agricultural Leadership Scholarship recipients.
- Peter Metivier, a senior at Normal Community High School, plans to study Agriculture Communications & Leadership at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
- Morgan Mouser, a senior at Tri-Valley High School, will also pursue a degree in Agriculture Communications & Leadership at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
- Abigail Hoeft, Bloomington, will be a Junior at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale studying Forest Service Management
- Paige Lemenager, Hudson, will complete the agriculture transfer program at Lake Land College
Ag Leadership Scholarship recipients are selected based on leadership, school/community involvement and interest in agriculture.
Each Ag Leadership Scholarship winner will receive $2,000 for educational expenses as they pursue an ag-related career.
In addition to the Ag Leadership Scholarships, the following students will receive a $500 McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship:
- Tyler Atkins, Lexington, to study Precision Agriculture Technology at Parkland College
- Colton Chinowth, Bloomington, to study Agricultural and Consumer Economics at University of Missouri or University of Tennessee
- Brian Clapp, LeRoy, studying Agribusiness at Lake Land College
- Isabelle Forrest, Danvers, to study Agricultural Engineering at Iowa State University
- Ashlyn Mool, Lexington, studying Agribusiness at Iowa State University
- Justin Pierard, Bloomington, pursuing a Power Equipment Technician degree at Parkland College
- Faith Schwoerer, Bloomington, to study Agriculture Communications & Leadership at University of Illinois
- Chloe Scroggins, Danvers, studying Agricultural Systems Technology at Southern Illinois University Carbondale
