Farmers face logistical, economic burdens under EU packaging rules

The new European Union Packaging Directive requires 65% of all packaging to be recyclable by 2025, with that number increasing to 70% by 2030. This means that U.S. farmers who export to EU member countries will have to adjust their packing practices to ensure compliance.
