A proposed rule from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

A proposed rule from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency would allow year-round sales of E10 in Illinois and seven other Midwest states, opening the door for expanded use of E15. If approved, it would take effect April 28, 2024. Ben Hengst, deputy director of EPA’s Office of Transportation and Air Quality, discussed the proposed rule during a presentation at the 2023 National Ethanol Conference.
