FLOODING CONTINUES TO DISRUPT FERTILIZER RIVER SHIPMENTS –

More rounds of rain and flooding continue to bog down shipments of fertilizer on the Mississippi River. Fertilizer supply issues are most severe in the Upper Midwest due to river closures north of St. Louis. Suppliers subsequently shifted away from barges to the use of more trucks and rail to get products in position for this season in recent weeks. “We haven’t run out of supply anywhere, but products are getting tighter in some markets,” one GROWMARK analyst explained.
